Wesson Oil


Two ml of Wesson oil (left) was dissolved in 10 ml of dichloromethane and the resulting solution (center) was used in the lipid tests. When the oil was mixed with water, two layers formed (right). The lower, water layer, was used for the carbohydrate and protein tests.
